Sorry I didn't get in touch sooner, my people are still healing and not doing great.

Of course he's taking it personally, Dean died in the process of saving him.

It's too bad he and Jo share the Roadhouse. You can tell when someone's gone by their domain disappearing.

Have you seen that a lot?

[ Something about that statement puts Sam on edge. He doesn't like the idea of anyone feeling something like this, imagining as he does coming home one day to find everyone and everything gone (again). ]

Yeah, it happens. The easiest way to know if it's for good is if the domain disappears. Notice how it didn't for anyone who was captured.

I've known some people who have come and gone. Sometimes more than once. It's just one of the things about being here.

Has anyone come back
from a death here?

I've never heard of a Summoned dying here until now. But people have been brought from their world dead and lived here. A friend of mine did that. Unfortunately, he was sent back.

I don't want to get your hopes up, but the Singularity is incredibly powerful. We're fairly certain it is what decides whether we go back or not. I think there is a small possibility that it would protect a Summoned. But we would have heard from Dean by now, wouldn't we?

I'm not so sure about that.
We have a habit of running off.

Is there something in the domain that is only Dean's? He made it before Jo got here but sometimes the person who joins just co-owns it. But if there is something that he made and no one else, and it's still there. He might be alive.

but I'll ask the others.
He may have had something
like that but I doubt it.

Maybe ask someone who was here before Jo and spent time there. Ask Geralt.

Go to the Horizon and fan out, see if there's anything from your world no one else would have done.

But if you can't find anything, I still would ask Geralt. He'll know what was there before any of you showed up, Dean's been here longer.
